BRAZING
Facilities are available for brazing components, in vacuum, or reducing
atmosphere, up to 250mm diameter × 300mm long. The braze material normally
employed will be Silver/Copper eutectic. This preferred material produces
a high seal strength at low cost. For applications where higher operating
temperatures or other design constraints are involved, Gold/Copper,
Gold/Nickel or Copper braze materials are employed, the latter braze
material having a liquidus point of approximately 1100°C. |
